The domain Art of Backpacking started on December 2nd, 2008. We had come up with idea of the website after a recent trip to Montreal. The idea came up pretty randomly. I had started using Wordpress to document our trip to Montreal and soon fell in love with the Wordpress integration. The name came together simply from my passion in art and backpacking. Now here we are at 50 posts and 35 comments later. Our Google Page Rank and Alexa Rank continues to grow everyday.
We just had to celebrate. Our gift to ourselves is a new website host! We hadn’t expected the website to grow this rapidly with our original host. We felt BlueHost is exactly what we needed. The change in hosts will require some downtime to make the full conversion. We’ll send out a notification when we decide to switch over officially. What does this mean to you? More content, faster loading time, and a bigger community.
