Would you like to write for Art of Backpacking? Were always looking for new writers and guest posts. Even if it’s just for one article, we’d love to feature it.

Budget travel related. Must fit the overall theme of Art of Backpacking.

Who reads Art of Backpacking?
We have a diverse crowd here. Most of our readers are budget minded. Always seeking off the beaten track destinations as well as a different approach to even the most beaten tracks.

OK. I´ve got my article and I´d like to send it. What do I do next?
Create an account. We’ll activate your account as a contributor which will give you access to create an article. Create a bio for yourself in your profile including a link to your website and you’ll have a Author Bio in the footer of every article you write. It uses the avatar from Gravatar. Contact us after you’ve done this.

Can I include a picture with my article?
Absolutely. If you´d like to display your own picture, mention it and we´ll arrange it. The picture needs to create the image of the article. High quality and well displayed photographs is a must. If you´d like to choose a picture from the internet, Flickr is a great resource for pictures in high quality and it’ll link to the original photographer with the HTML Flickr provides.

How much do you pay?
Currently we do not pay our contributors however you are more then welcome to include your own ads on the right side for your articles (Where our Google Ad box is on the right currently). This includes Google Adsense ads, Amazon Affiliates (If you’re writing a review for a book, movie, or product perhaps), or even an ad to your own website. This is up to you but it will need to be related in some way to the article you’ve written. The payout can lead to much more then a one time article payout if your article is successful. We will help you on where to insert the ad.

How do I know my article will draw enough traffic?
Traffic on Art of Backpacking is growing quick. At only over 1 years old, we’ve grown fast for such a short period of time online. Were always looking to expand and we continue to put long hours each day into the expansion. We promise and guarantee a successful viewing of your article.

You will receive a response within 3 business days by email.
