Its been officially 5 months now since Art of Backpacking has launched and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it! Since our first post in December, the site has gone through many expansions and we continue to improve and grow more and more everyday!
As we celebrate our 75th post, we’d like to look back and thank all the support we’ve had in this short amount of time! Since December, we have been growing exponentially, in posts, viewers and support.
We appreciate your dedication and support; our readers and followers who have read articles, left comments or submitted a picture to our Flickr group! We thank everyone so much! For Mike and I, working on Art of Backpacking has reinforced the ideal that travel is a big part of our lives! Working on AOB has become a passionate career that we hope to continue for a very long time.
We continue to bring you the latest information about backpacking and all of the essentials that come with it. Our website started on the principal of our first “mini” Backpacking trip to Montreal in November. As founders of AOB, we continue to travel and to bring you more up close and personal experiences as the year continues.
Our head guy Mike will embark on his first backpacking trip next week! His first stop: Beijing, China. Where will he go? Who knows! He will be posting from abroad letting us know about the crazy and exciting adventures he will be experiencing. We will be hearing A LOT of personal updates from his journey as the year progresses.

As for me, Teresa, I am awaiting an internship with Newsday, a local New York City newspaper! I’ll most likely be going and covering the Jazz Festival in Montreal in July, Going to Miami for my birthday and spending a week in Barcelona for November.
